1. The service
Facadia Inspections is a visual site inspection of AAC panel facade work, usually before render or coating, from $400.00 ex GST ($440.00 inc GST). It includes a review of photos you send us. We give you a written summary of what we saw and any items to look at.
2. We can only check what we can see
The inspection is limited to parts of the work that are visible and safely accessible on the day. We do not open up, remove or test work, and we cannot comment on concealed items (such as framing, fixings behind panels, wraps, flashings or adhesive coverage that is not visible). Photo reviews are limited to what the photos show.
3. Advice only
Our report is advice only, given to help you and your installer. It does not supersede the manufacturer's current guides, instructions, advice or warnings, which always take priority. It is not a building inspection under the Building Act 1993 (Vic), a structural or engineering assessment, a warranty of the work, or a statement that the work meets the National Construction Code or any standard. Responsibility for the work stays with the builder and installer.
4. Your responsibilities
You must give us safe access (including tagged scaffold or other suitable access), tell us about site hazards and induction requirements, and provide any plans or product details we ask for. If we cannot safely inspect, we may reschedule or limit the inspection.
5. Booking, payment and cancellation
Payment by bank transfer per the invoice terms is required before the inspection. You may reschedule free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
6. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that they will be provided with due care and skill. Subject to those rights and to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to supplying the inspection again or refunding the fee, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for defects that were not visible or accessible at the time of inspection.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
