We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What we collect
- Customers and enquiries: name, business name, ABN, phone, email, delivery and site addresses, customer type (for example builder, homeowner or installer), how you heard about us, order history and messages.
- Orders and quotes: the products, quantities and prices in each order or quote request, the totals, and any calculator details you enter (such as wall or floor area and panel lengths).
- Plans and quotes: plans, drawings and project details you upload.
- Job links: each quote or order has a private link we email to you. Anyone with the link can view that job, so keep it private. If it has been shared, tell us and we'll reset it.
- Builder portal (optional): your name, phone and email; job addresses; photos of site signs and work (which may show people, vehicles or addresses); details of installers and workers you add (name, company, email, phone); SWMS, pre-start records, sign-on names, signatures and times; inspection bookings and reports.
- Payments: bank transfer details (account name and reference) needed to match your payment.
- Website use: IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, the page or link that brought you to our site (including campaign tags), your language setting and cookie data, including QR code scans.
2. How we collect it
Directly from you; from your builder or installer when they add you to a job in the portal; from our payment, delivery and website providers; and through cookies and analytics.
If you give us information about another person (for example an installer or worker), please make sure they know you are sharing it and where to find this policy.
3. Why we use it
We collect order and contact details to process your orders and quotes, to manage your account with us and your pricing (including volume pricing), and to analyse purchasing so we can plan stock and improve our range. Each time you send an order, quote request or enquiry we keep a record of it, linked to your email address and ABN, so we know who our customers are and what they buy.
To quote, sell, deliver and support our products; to run the builder portal (including sending alerts and reminders about missing documents); to book and carry out inspections; to manage payments and invoices; to improve our products and services; to analyse builder and job activity (including in de-identified or aggregated form); to send you marketing about our products and services where permitted; and to meet our legal obligations.
4. Marketing
We may send you updates and offers about our products and services. Every marketing message includes an easy way to unsubscribe, and we will act on your request promptly.
5. Who we share it with
- Service providers, such as hosting, email, payment, delivery and IT providers.
- Anyone you share your private job link with (tell us if it has been shared and we'll reset it).
- People on the same job in the portal (for example, the builder can see SWMS and pre-starts completed by their installer).
- Professional advisers, insurers and where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Information you give us through the Facadia marketplace (projects, plans, quotes, bids, messages and installer details) is not shared with any related or associated company of Facadia Pty Ltd. Some providers may store data overseas (for example in the United States); we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.
6. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law (for example tax and WHS records), then delete or de-identify it.
7. Access and correction
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, including your order and enquiry records, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
8. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
